Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be gambled on in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using a net connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the best combination of cards achievable in order to acquire money. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the bettor has selected which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Typically, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that discerning enthusiasts are able to choose the most beneficial game each time.
After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that has been won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation another hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
