• Video Poker – Select the Ideal Machines

    [ English ]

    There are three basic types of electronic poker machines:

    * Jacks or Better

    * Deuces Wild

    * Jokers Wild

    To keep things basic, we recommend you wager on only the Jacks or Better machines. The pay outs are normally far better and the draw system is much more straightforward.

    What you’re truly searching for is a Jacks or Improved machine with a very good payout schedule. The greatest payout table pays 9 to One for complete home and 6 to 1 for any flush. In gambler’s terms, that is called a "9-6" device, for obvious reasons. Many years ago, you could uncover many of these in most casinos, but they are now quite hard to uncover since of the favorable (to you, not the casino!) pay-out table.

    Regularly, the best payout you will be able to come across is the next best a single, which pays 8 to One for a full home and Five to 1 for a flush. Even so, this is a great payout table if it’s also a "4-of-a-kind" bonus device. A bonus device pays extra odds for hitting 4-of-a- sort for certain cards, such as Twos, Threes, or Fours, or three other cards. The payout table has this info, so be sure to look over the payout schedule carefully before you wager on any device.

    Be sure to avoid machines that just pay One to One for 2 pairs. This should be the pay-out for a single pair of jacks or better. 2 pair must pay Two to 1. You cash will go much quicker if 2 pairs pays just One to One.

    Look for these pay-out tables and you’ll be competing with house edge against you of One or 2% – some from the finest odds within the casino.
